Job Description:Belian Juta Sdn Bhd is looking for a skilled Quantity Surveyor to join their dedicated team in Kota Kinabalu. The successful candidate will assist in preparing preliminary cost estimates and budgets for construction projects, ensuring that financial targets are met throughout the project lifecycle.
Responsibilities:- Assist in preparing preliminary cost estimates and budgets for construction projects.
- Perform quantity take-offs from technical drawings and specifications.
- Assist in preparing tender documents, bills of quantities (BOQ), and other pricing schedules.
- Analyze and compare subcontractor and supplier quotes.
- Support the senior quantity surveyor in monitoring and tracking project costs against budgets.
- Assist in preparing interim valuations and final accounts.
- Conduct site visits to assess progress and collect data for cost control.
- Maintain accurate project records, including material logs and payment certificates.
- Prepare periodic cost reports for review by senior management.
- Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
- Basic understanding of construction processes and materials.
- Familiarity with quantity take-off software (e.g., AutoCAD) is an advantage.
- Strong mathematical and measurement skills.
- Ability to analyze and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
- Strong attention to detail to ensure accuracy in cost estimates and project documentation.
- Proactive and willing to learn new approaches to problem-solving.
- Team-oriented with a willingness to adapt to project requirements.
- Willingness to travel to different job sites as required.
